….and love is the greatest of these….this new commandment I give you, to love….all the laws rest on it…God embodies it….we must live for it!
I find it interesting that the only new commandment Jesus gave was concerning Love. Not a self-centered love. Not a love for things. True love for others. Love is an action. Love is a movement. It never fails. True love is unconditional…which means it’s uncomfortable at times, and often never convenient. This love isn’t easy. It costs you something, for our Savior it cost him everything.
We need to live for love. Our lives need to be defined by love. I love the Mars Hill Church slogan “Love Wins.” In the end it always does.
